Job summary

GEA Group, a global engineering leader, seeks an Application Engineer in the United States (Oakdale, MN) to manage technical and commercial proposals for sanitary systems. You will generate precise cost estimates, collaborate with Procurement, Sales, and Engineering, and support customer engagements with technically sound solutions.

Required: a mechanical or chemical engineering degree and 5+ years in related roles, plus strong English and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or chemical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• More than 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, Process/Project Engineering, Project Management, and/or Estimating.
• Background in dairy, food, beverage projects and/or Spray Dryer Technology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ documents to determine appropriate offers and identify exceptions.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for equipment, services, and systems with cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure proposals and costing adhere to governance, policies and procedures.
• Plan workload to manage multiple tasks and meet proposal schedules.
• Research past opportunities to find pricing for similar projects.
• Coordinate with procurement to prepare specifications and obtain component pricing.
