GEA Group in the United States seeks an Application Engineer with 3-5 years in application engineering and technical sales support to advise end-customers, integrators and distributors on hygienic and aseptic valves and pump technologies for Food, Dairy, and Beverage applications.

The role involves preparing PIDs, cost sheets, quotes, and delivering customer presentations while collaborating with V&P teams in Germany and Switzerland. Travel 50-60% nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in application engineering and technical sales support.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Fluid Dynamics and related industry practices.
• Understanding of sanitary liquid processing equipment and processes.
• Familiar with Hy5 and Configit product sizing and selection software.
• Experience with SAP-PEM, Microsoft Office and inventory management processes.
• Desirable experience with OEM factories, fabrication contractors, and automation suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Advise end-Customers, Integrators, Distributors and RSMs on hygienic/aseptic valves, pumps and technologies.
• Prepare PID's and cost sheets for processes prior to quoting.
• Prepare quotes for end-Customers, Integrators and Distributors.
• Liaise with V&P teams in Germany and Switzerland on technical matters.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers and partners.
• Provide hygiene/aseptic technology training to stakeholders.
