Job summary

Applied Control seeks a knowledgeable Application Engineer for our Englewood, CO headquarters. This full-time, on-site role focuses on delivering technical support and applying product knowledge to customer process-control challenges.

You will engage with internal and external customers, support account managers, and build lasting partnerships while pursuing new product initiatives and solutions. Training and occasional travel are part of the role, with a competitive base wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background with a degree in engineering.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
• Entrepreneurial work ethic and customer-focused mindset.
• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and sizing, application, and quotation tools; Windows OS.
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams and translate into effective products.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance to external and internal customers for process control solutions.
• Execute company strategy and initiatives through customer interactions across levels.
• Provide internal sales/technical support to account managers and outside sales.
• Communicate customer needs to colleagues to position Applied Control as a trusted advisor.
• Develop expertise in applying final control element products and solutions.
• Support customer activities including inquiries, technical knowledge delivery, and negotiations.
• Work independently and as part of a team with extensive phone/email communications.
• Limited travel may apply; short, out-of-town training sessions.
