Job summary

Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity located in Englewood, CO. The Application Engineer will review customers' technical needs, recommend solutions, and ensure integration with current systems while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

Ideal candidates possess 2-year or 4-year technical degrees, 3+ years of technical support, and strong communication skills; on-site Denver-area role offering salary between $80,000 and $100,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year technical degree; a 4-year degree is strongly preferred.
• Experience with sensors and controls for a manufacturer or related industry.
• Machine repair or maintenance experience with industrial equipment is a plus.
• Ability to learn cutting edge sensors and controls technologies.
• 3+ years of technical support experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customers' technical needs and recommend product solutions.
• Estimate costs and advise the sales force on technical matters.
• Ensure proposed solutions integrate with current systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers from various departments to resolve issues during and after implementation.
• Support and resolve customer technical inquiries via phone, email, Webchat and Teams.
• Promote products to customers when applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve the Customer Support process.
• Develop Digital Technical Support Content for online customer support.
• Handle order entry, quoting, stock checking, invoicing as needed to prevent transfers.
• Learn products within the Complex Product Line.

Job Responsibilities

• Review customers' technical needs and recommend specific product/service solutions in our product area to meet those needs
• Estimate costs and consult with the sales force on technical matters
• Ensure proposed solutions can be integrated with current systems and equipment
• Work with engineers from various departments to resolve problems that arise during and after implementation
• Support and solve customer technical inquiries via phone, email, Webchat and Teams
• Promote products to customers when applicable
• Proactively identify areas to continuously improve Customer Support process
• Develop Digital Technical Support Content to be used online to support customers
• Perform customer service duties such as order entry, quoting, stock checking, invoicing, etc. when needed to prevent additional transfers for customers
• Start to understand and learn products in the Complex Product Line

Job Qualifications
