Job summary

AtWork Personnel | Charlotte East is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join a growing team focused on electric motor control systems and industrial control panels. You will translate customer requirements into electrical panel circuitry and provide accurate schematics and quotations.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, procurement, and production, ensure NEC compliance, and support manufacturing on technical issues. Occasional travel to other facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering and designing electrical panel circuitry.
• Strong knowledge of motor control circuits and NEC.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into schematics and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical panel circuitry based on customer requirements and specs.
• Review specs and communicate with sales to clarify requirements.
• Select components with brands, models, part numbers.
• Prepare accurate quotations based on specs and pricing.
• Provide technical support to procurement.
• Coordinate with production and procurement for best technical solutions.
• Participate in customer calls to gather information.
• Offer immediate technical guidance to production when needed.
• Prioritize urgent production issues while managing daily duties.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects efficiently.
• Travel up to 10 days per year.
