Job summary

MotionAi seeks an Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for the outside sales team, designing and engineering electronic controls to meet customer specs and refining system concepts. You will develop costing and proposals to support outside sales, communicating clearly with customers and factory partners.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and up to two years of related experience, and will involve travel up to 40% across customer sites and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is typically required.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Proficient use of CAD software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Understands and conveys customer requirements internally and to factory partners.
• Trains customers and outside sales teams on product technologies.
• Provides technical support to outside sales team and customers in real time.
• Maintains expertise on the technical products from factory partners.
• Prepares a scope of work for a solution for the customer.
• Sizes and designs solutions for applications including pneumatic, motion control, six axis robots and vision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
