Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an Application Engineer I to manage engineered and standard LV drives and soft starters quotations from RFQ to close.

You will support both inside and outside sales with pre-sale technical inquiries on LV VFDs and soft starters. Responsibilities include collaborating with field sales, reviewing RFQs, and preparing technical and commercial quotations while following pricing guidelines and maintaining accurate project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of relevant Application Engineering experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical machines and their applications.
• Experience reviewing RFQs, specifications, and customer requirements.
• MS Office proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field sales, customers, and manufacturing during quotation process.
• Review RFQs, specs, emails, and customer requirements.
• Develop understanding of customer applications, OEM requirements, and market needs.
• Lead quotation opportunities from initial review to final submission.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for WEG products.
• Support order processing activities and review purchase orders as needed.
• Maintain project records and quotation/order documentation.
