Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, invites a Summer 2027 Application Engineer Intern who will gain hands-on experience in technical customer support, software applications, and product demonstrations, with the potential to transition into a full-time Application Engineer role after graduation.

This on-site internship offers mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to CAD/CAM, simulation, and data analysis, and collaboration with global teams on real projects

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree with expected graduation in 2027/2028.
• Strong interest in metrology and manufacturing technologies.
• Foundational CAD/CAM, programming, or data analysis knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support demonstrations of Hexagon's software to customers.
• Assist with technical evaluations, product testing, and configuration.
• Troubleshoot issues under guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare training materials, documentation, and presentations.
• Shadow engineers in customer engagements to learn solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects across R&D, product management, and support.
• Learn CAD/CAM, simulation, and data analysis best practices.
