Job summary

Jobtailor in North Carolina seeks a seasoned engineer to lead technical initiatives and growth initiatives for AFT products. You will engage in prototyping, lab work, and hands‑on testing while developing solutions aligned with customer needs.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to drive projects across engineering and business teams, including collaboration with external stakeholders. A technical degree and hands‑on electronics experience are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Electronics.
Demonstrated technical proficiency.
Ability to build customer relationships.
Business development experience.
Ability to use one’s initiative.

High level of learning agility.
Excellent communication skills for global communication in English.
Ability to lead a team of peers.
Demonstrated laboratory and hands‑on experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
At least three years' experience in designing high-voltage electric machines.
Experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
Familiarity with SalesForce.com or other CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Contribute to project planning, defining technical objectives, and business growth.
Assist in prototyping, lab work, and hands‑on testing of products.
Identify, develop, and deliver solutions that allow AFT to capture value and meet customer needs.
Gain a deep understanding of customer processes and Qnity product and service offerings.
Manage all aspects of the technology processes related to AFT products and services.
Support the development, testing, and commercialization of new materials and products.
Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation and meet customer needs.
Significant customer and external stakeholder interaction, requiring strong communication, relationship‑building, and technical problem‑solving skills.
