Job summary

ASSA ABLOY seeks an end user centric Application Engineer to be the first line of technical support for EM and EAC product lines. The role is onsite in New Haven, CT, reporting to Manager EAC and Technical Support.

You will troubleshoot, educate customers, and drive a seamless experience across teams. Key tasks include handling escalations, reviewing schematics, and maintaining detailed case records while expanding expertise through self-directed learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
• Hands-on experience working with electronics or hardware.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Good organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and customer centricity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and precise feedback to customers.
• Ensure resolution of issues within stipulated timeframes.
• Review electronic schematics and apply to troubleshooting products with customers.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Engage with customers to address inquiries and fulfill requests about products and services.
• Facilitate seamless communication across teams.
• Proactively expand expertise through ongoing self-directed learning.
• Escalate unresolved issues following established protocols.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information and determine appropriate actions to resolve escalations.
• Maintain detailed records of escalated cases, including actions and resolutions using MS Dynamics.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and provide feedback for improvements.
