Job summary

SCHUNK is seeking an Application Engineer in rotating workholding to manage quotations, orders, and technical solutions. You will review drawings, coordinate prototypes, and support customers from quote to delivery, collaborating with design and production teams to ensure performance standards and timely solutions.

Ideal candidates possess a technical degree, strong communication, and proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and CAD/CAM tools, with willingness to travel up to 5% for customer engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC machining, workholding, fixturing, or toolholding applications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, 3D models, STEP files, and ERP/CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete customer quotation and order lifecycle for custom components.
• Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and sales orders accurately.
• Review specifications, drawings, models to develop technical solutions.
• Interpret drawings and documentation to ensure customer requirements are understood.
• Collaborate with customers and SCHUNK Design Engineering on specs and drawings.
• Coordinate prototype development, testing, and application support.
• Track quotations, opportunities, and sales orders to support growth.
• Develop and manage project timelines across design, production, and delivery.
• Monitor order progress and address scheduling or delivery challenges.
• Provide technical support, product training, and application guidance via webinars, meetings, and onsite visits.
