Job summary

Applied Control in Englewood, CO is seeking a capable Application Engineer for a full-time, on-site role at our Headquarters. You will provide technical assistance to internal and external customers for process control solutions and support account managers with product knowledge.

You will develop expertise in all final control products, contribute to negotiations, and occasionally travel for short paid trainings as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with reading/understanding P&IDs and applying specifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance to external and internal customers for process control solutions.
• Execute Applied Control's strategies through interactions with customers and vendors.
• Provide internal sales and technical support to account managers and outside sales.
• Understand customer needs and communicate them to colleagues as trusted advisor.
• Develop deep expertise in final control products and deliver quality solutions.
• Support customer activities including responding to requests, providing product knowledge, and participating in negotiations.
• Work independently and as part of a team; extensive phone/email communication with customers expected.
• Limited travel may apply for short, out-of-town paid trainings.
