Job description

At Wyetech, you’ll be at the center of an award-winning corporate culture, breaking technological barriers and solving real-world problems for our federal government customers. We are committed to hiring the best of the best, and in return, we offer a world-class, truly unique employee experience that is rare within our industry.

Responsibilities and Experience

Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses, managing their implementation. Lead software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools. Estimate software development costs and schedule. Review existing programs for refinements, reducing operating time and improving techniques. Define specifications for software applications, maintain existing applications, and oversee program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Direct and harmonize the work of other personnel and conduct quality assurance reviews.

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from a manual security evaluation and authorization process to a new model emphasizing automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the whole project lifecycle.

This blended position spans Software Development, Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, and Operations Support.

Security and Citizenship

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and an appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI with agency‑appropriate polygraph) is required.

Capabilities
  • Ensure data reliability and accuracy by monitoring and maintaining application systems.
  • Contribute to operational success through continuous performance monitoring and proactive troubleshooting, including configuration changes and code base updates.
  • Maintain system health by tracking metrics, logs, dashboards, alerts, and application status to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Support watchfloor operations by identifying service degradation, failed dataflows, system errors, and application issues, escalating as needed.
  • Perform basic Linux system administration tasks, including checking service status, restarting services, reviewing logs, validating disk, memory, and CPU usage, and supporting server reboots.
  • Support cloud‑based operations using the AWS Console or CLI to check instance health, review system status, restart or reboot servers, and assist with basic operational troubleshooting.
  • Work a rotating shift schedule, 6 AM‑6 PM / 6 PM‑6 AM, to provide 24/7 application support on our watch floor.
Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with agency‑appropriate polygraph
  • All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category; all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.
  • Ten (10) years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Eight (8) years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree.
  • Six (6) years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Four (4) years minimum experience and a Master's Degree.
  • Two (2) years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.
Required Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following skillsets/technologies:
  • Monitoring / Watchfloor Operations: Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, CloudWatch, or similar tools; dashboard monitoring, alert triage, log review, incident escalation, and shift turnover support.
  • Linux / Systems Administration: Comfortable working in a Linux environment; ability to check system health, start, stop, and restart services, review logs, and reboot servers.
  • Cloud / AWS Operations: Experience supporting EC2 instances, service health checks, and basic operational troubleshooting (C2E, HCI, AWS, Lambda).
