Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for an Application Engineer (Pumps) to support projects in the petrochemical and refining industries. You'll be responsible for engineering, specifying, and selecting rotating equipment, preparing proposals, and managing project inquiries to ensure timely delivery.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking under pressure, and building strong client relationships. You'll work closely with both customers and internal teams, providing technical support and ensuring equipment meets specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Pump sizing & selection based on process data (pressures, flow rates, temperatures).
• Proposal development - prepare quotations, RFQs, and technical documentation.
• Customer support - troubleshoot issues, provide technical assistance, and maintain strong relationships.
• CAD design & documentation - support with 2D/3D drawings and specifications.
• Project coordination - manage multiple inquiries, deadlines, and delivery schedules.
• On-call & travel support

Requirements

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
• Exposure to industrial environments (petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, or chemical).
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD drafting/design software preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret equipment/process specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage interruptions effectively.
