Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking an Application Engineer with 5+ years of experience in MV/LV switchgear and power distribution to support data centers and AI infrastructure projects. You will serve as the technical expert, collaborating with sales, engineering, manufacturing and field service teams.

Responsibilities include leading technical design reviews, ensuring compliance with UL/NEC codes, supporting quotations, and mentoring colleagues on electrical control systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with MV/LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical control systems.
• Experience working with UL, NEC and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and develop technical solutions.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks is advantageous.

Application Engineer | MV/LV Switchgear | Data Centers | $155k - $170k + 10%Remote (US)

I'm currently partnered with a leading manufacturer of mission-critical power infrastructure that is continuing to invest heavily in its engineering team as demand across the data center and AI infrastructure market continues to grow.

We're looking for an Application Engineer with experience in medium and low voltage switchgear, power distribution and electrical control systems to support technical sales, engineering, manufacturing and product development.

The Role

You’ll act as the technical expert across the business, supporting customer applications from concept through delivery while working closely with sales, engineering, manufacturing and field service teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards and control systems.
• Support technical sales, quotations and customer solution development.
• Review customer specifications and ensure designs meet applicable codes and industry standards.
• Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
