Heidenhain Corporation in Ashville, NY is seeking an Application Specialist to train customers on ACU-RITE CNCs (MILLPWR, TURNPWR, TNC) and CAM programming. You will apply milling/turning knowledge to demonstrate solutions for end users and OEMs while keeping product specs current.

The role requires 3–5 years of machining or tool/mold experience, up to 50% travel across the US, Canada, and Mexico, and a 2-year degree.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience as a programmer machinist or tool and die/mold maker
• Experience machining high precision metal components for Mold-Die, Medical and Aerospace
• Experience or knowledge of CAM programming
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on ACU-RITE products to support customers and sales needs
• Maintain product line specifications up to date; suggest design improvements
• Provide end user controls training in house and at customer locations
• Travel to train customers, support open houses, trade shows and technical seminars within the US, Canada and Mexico
• Collaborate with other departments for brand customers and markets
