Job summary

Sonaca North America in Auburn, WA is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and optimize multi-axis milling programs (3, 4, 5 axis) using Catia V5/V6 and MasterCam. You will work with engineering, operations and QA to ensure parts print, run simulations and verify tooling, feeds and speeds.

The role requires 3–5 years of CNC programming experience, strong blueprint reading and GD&T, and knowledge of G/M codes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience with MasterCam.
• Experience with Catia V5/6, CAD/CAM, NX is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Knowledge of G codes, M codes, Cutter Comps, Offsets, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Run Instructions, Setup Sheets and Tool Lists for parts being programmed.
• Pull files from Catia and review 3D CAD blueprints.
• Create multi-axis toolpaths for CNC mills (3,4,5 axis) using Catia and MasterCam.
• Update repeat jobs to current standards and engineering revisions.
• Check finished programs by simulations or tests and verify tooling.
• Communicate with Engineering and QA to ensure FAI and print conformance.
• Develop manufacturing options for new product introduction and transfer of work.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure production capabilities and constraints.
