Overview

The Applications Engineer serves as a key technical resource, connecting customer requirements with Tusk Industrial’s pump solutions. This individual will be responsible for evaluating application needs, selecting appropriate pump models, configuring product specifications, and supporting the quoting and order fulfillment processes. The role also involves collaboration with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements and product development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Application Support - Analyze customer specifications and process requirements; Select appropriate pump models and size pumps for performance and efficiency; Configure pump features including mechanical seals, hardware materials, resin types, motor sizing, and other options; Provide technical support and guidance to customers during the selection process; Develop detailed and accurate quotations based on configured products; Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements and present solutions; Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure alignment on pricing and delivery expectations; Review incoming orders for accuracy and completeness; Confirm pricing, configuration, and technical details; Support the transition from quote to production, ensuring smooth handoff to operations.


• Engineering Collaboration - Work with the engineering team to identify opportunities for product or process improvements; Participate in development projects aimed at enhancing pump performance, manufacturability, or customer experience; Provide feedback from customer interactions to inform design and innovation efforts.
