Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking an engineer to perform complex analytical testing and validation for products used in oil and gas applications. The role involves designing tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings to ensure performance and reliability.

You will build test setups, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance to technicians and field service engineers, ensuring successful operations and timely issue resolution. Authorization to work in the US is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of gas chromatography and the oil and gas market is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with process or laboratory GC analyzers is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US permanently.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer requirements by reviewing RFQs and sales orders, determining appropriate analytical hardware and application parameters, and maintaining accurate information within quotation and order management systems.

This position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Your role and responsibilities:
  • Perform complex application development, testing, and validation activities, ensuring products meet performance requirements and project objectives.
