JSW Steel USA is seeking to hire an experienced Application Development Supervisor to join our IT team!

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering application development and enterprise system solutions that support business operations and strategic objectives. This role provides hands on technical leadership, drives structured project execution using established project management methodologies, collaborates closely with business stakeholders, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused technology solutions.

The Supervisor will manage both internal and external development resources, oversee application lifecycle management, and lead cross-functional projects to ensure solutions align with organizational standards, performance expectations, budgets, and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the software and application development team, providing technical direction and day-to-day guidance.
• Manage multiple application-related projects simultaneously, including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and budgets.
• Partner with business units to understand operational needs and recommend effective, scalable technology solutions.
• Oversee the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Review and approve technical designs, code changes, and application enhancements to ensure quality and alignment with standards.
• Support enterprise systems, including SAP (where applicable), and manage related system integrations.
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, reliability, and compliance requirements.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and professional development for team members.
• Continuously evaluate applications, tools, and processes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure clear documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer processes are maintained.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrated project management experience leading full-cycle application development projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple application initiatives concurrently.
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience reviewing code, enforcing quality standards, and approving development deliverables.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a solution-architect mindset.
• Experience coordinating with business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional IT teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate technical staff.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or equivalent).
• Experience with enterprise applications such as, SAP.
• Prior experience supervising or leading application development teams.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide systems and complex integrations.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and application support models.
