Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) is seeking an Application Developer II to join the Tech & Prod Development Unit at the Blythewood campus. The role focuses on developing and maintaining DMV applications, with hands-on coding and collaboration across departments.

You will work on web and interface development, participate in SDLC, and mentor junior staff while ensuring security and performance standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, VB.NET, C#, XML, HTML, Java, MVC and CSS in application development.
• Knowledge of XML, SOAP and REST Web Services.
• Recent experience with IIS for Windows 11, MS Server 2019+ and .NET Framework 4.6+; Visual Studio 2022.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and analysis for projects and modifications.
• Lead applications in web, client, and REST interface development; collaborate with analysts and DBAs.
• Code, test, and maintain DMV systems including Phoenix motor vehicle administration system.
