Job summary

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks an experienced Applications Systems Programmer III to lead.NET development on a fast-paced team. You will design, develop, and maintain web-based applications using Visual Studio 2019, ASP.Net MVC, SPA, and modern DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes object-oriented design, relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server), and leadership in project execution, with a focus on data privacy and comprehensive testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of relational database design, data processing and data communications.
• Knowledge of agile application development techniques
• Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives
• Ability to write, read, and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements.
• Ability to design, develop and test web-based applications using industry standard techniques and guidelines
• Skill in deployment of web-based applications.
• Skill in developing and executing unit and system tests.
• Skill in developing program specifications.
• Skill in programming in Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
• Skill in using source code configuration management tools such as Team Foundation Server / DevOps
• Ability in operating as a technical lead for application development teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior developer for a fast-paced application development team focused on .NET development.
• Perform new development and maintenance with technologies: Visual Studio 2019, TFS, DevOps, ASP.Net MVC, SPA, Couchbase, NServiceBus, JavaScript, Typescript and Web Services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
