Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking a Developer I, Application for Asset Technology AMI to design and develop custom applications supporting the AMI Technology portfolio and COTS apps. The role emphasizes Microsoft backend tech, Angular frontend development, API integration, and CI/CD automation, with a focus on scalable, intelligent architectures.

The individual will report to the Supervisor, Gas Asset Technology-AMI and contribute to digital transformation initiatives across enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and design principles.
• Strong backend development experience using Microsoft technologies (.NET Core 8+, .NET Framework 4.8+).
• Frontend development experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions that leverage COTS where possible and customize as needed.
• Create and modify Technical Design Documents.
• Collaborate with teams to plan coding and program development.
• Translate specifications to code meeting performance requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing software.
• Plan and participate in system testing and deployment activities.
