Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an Application Developer to join our hybrid Tampa team. You’ll design, build, and optimize backend services and web applications that empower field teams and client communities nationwide.

You’ll work across cloud, data, and integration platforms, implementing scalable solutions with modern APIs, serverless components, and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable, high‑impact software in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

Front-End Development: Experience building scalable React.js, Next.js, or other modern UI framework applications.
Back-End Development: Hands‑on experience with Node.js and designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Database Design & Optimization: Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, query optimization, and database administration; familiarity with SQL Server is a plus.
Cloud & Deployment: Knowledge of Azure App Service, Web App deployment, configuration, scaling strategies, and Azure Functions for event‑driven compute.
Event & Data Streaming: Experience with Azure Event Hub for data ingestion and event streaming architectures.
Integration & Middleware: Designing and implementing integration solutions across multiple systems, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

Backend & Web Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and web applications to meet business and user requirements.
Integration Development: Design and develop integrations between diverse systems using platforms such as MuleSoft and Boomi.
Serverless Computing: Build, deploy, and maintain Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
API & Security: Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and modern authentication protocols such as OAuth and JWT.
Data Modeling: Design Snowflake schema models to support data warehousing needs.
Database Management: Manage and optimize databases including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
DevOps & CI/CD: Support DevOps initiatives, including development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.
