Job summary

Atos is seeking a skilled Production Support/Migration Specialist to manage deployment readiness and production troubleshooting for Java/JVM-based applications. The role emphasizes API operations, Kubernetes deployments, and observability across logs and metrics.

You will work with Couchbase, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases, and use tools like Jenkins, XLR, ELF, and OTEL to ensure smooth migrations and reliable services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java/JVM-based applications and production troubleshooting.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST APIs and API-based resource operations.
• Experience supporting applications deployed on Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Couchbase, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment orchestration (Jenkins, XLR).
• Observability experience using ELF, OpenTracing, and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with Kibana and Elasticsearch for logs and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market/event-level trends, TPS, latency, success rates, and failure patterns.
• Validate end-to-end messaging scenarios including DLR, OTP latency, and opt-out flows.
• Coordinate migration activities and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Establish/vendor escalation paths and SLA commitments for migration readiness.
• Maintain access and documentation for production investigation and support.

• Strong experience with Java / JVM-based applications and production troubleshooting.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST APIs and API-based resource operations.

• Experience with Jenkins and XLR for CI/CD and deployment orchestration.

• Proficiency with Kibana and Elasticsearch for log analysis, troubleshooting, traffic analysis, and operational monitoring.
• Understanding of certificate management, proxies, gateways, APIs, and production connectivity.

Migration & Production Support Skills • Ability to identify critical and non-critical messaging flows by market and use case.

• Analyze market/event-level trends, TPS, latency, success rates, and failure patterns, including pre- and post-migration comparisons.
• Understand and validate Delivery Receipts (DLRs), SLA requirements, bounce/failure codes, and vendor-specific behaviors. • Validate end-to-end messaging scenarios, including: o OTP latency and delivery o DLR processing o Opt-Out / STOP flows o Inbound / MO messaging o Sender ID and alternate Sender ID failover

Migration Readiness & Coordination • Establish and follow vendor escalation paths, SLA commitments, and support procedures.

• Become proficient with Sinch Dashboard and Support Portals for production investigation and support.
• Ensure required system, dashboard, portal, and resource access is available to support teams/MIMs.
• Maintain current vendor contacts and escalation information. • Document proxy/gateway configurations, certificates, Sender IDs by market/use case, and failover configurations.
• Define, document, and validate rollback plans before migration.
• Coordinate migration activities and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Post-Migration & Syniverse Decommissioning • Confirm zero production traffic is being dispatched to Syniverse before decommissioning.

• Export or retain historical logs/data where required.
• Remove obsolete API/proxy configurations and decommission Syniverse certificates.
• Remove legacy vendor contacts and configurations and update operational documentation.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, escalation paths, and support procedures reflect the new aggregator environment.
