Qualifications

  • Epic Certification preferred at hire, required within 12 months.

  • Ability to work independently and follow a project plan.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain application systems and databases with a focus on maintenance.
  • Participate in reliability projects and standard work.
  • Lead at least one project per year and support release management.
  • Ensure health of applications and adherence to on-call downtime standards.
  • Engage in continued education and contribute to capacity planning.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Application Analyst I (Entry-level analyst) is supporting application systems and databases, participating in projects, and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain application systems and databases (focus on maintenance work).
  • Participate in reliability projects, updates, and standard work.
  • Leads one project/year at minimum.
  • Ensure system maintenance/updates and overall health of applications.
  • Adherent to on-call and downtime standards.
  • Participating in continued education/self-improvement events yearly.
  • Contribute to resource and capacity planning for projects.
  • Ensure accuracy of service catalog.
  • Participate in release and change management for applications.
  • Gain experience in integrated application testing.
  • Shares knowledge with teammates regarding upgrades/release note reviews/testing requirements, etc., to raise awareness across analysts.
  • Focuses on team incident cue to include aged ticket review.
  • Active in monitoring and meeting team SLAs.
  • Agile foundation skills.
  • Implementation and use of all Ai tools that support role.
Education

An associate's degree or higher in Healthcare or IT, or 2–5 years of relevant experience, is required.

Experience

Experience in an IT or healthcare role is strongly preferred.

Application end user experience preferred.

Experience in change management preferred.

Certification & Licensure

Epic Certification in primary application is preferred at hire but required within (12) months of hire. If newly certified in application, must be deemed competent within (12) months to include completing all required orientation and trial employment goals on time. In addition to Epic certifications, certifications in other specialty fields may be preferred. Certified Scrum Master proficiency (demonstrated skill level). ITIL Foundations certification preferred. All education to include certifications should be current, and the latest version of training must be completed on time.

Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for health system EHR’s required.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively for content build/project/upgrade required.
  • Ability to prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain a list of issues, and follow a project plan required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively for content build as delegated by project manager/director.
