About the Role
Are you passionate about keeping critical applications running smoothly, securely, and efficiently? Join our Innovation and Technology Department as an Application Administrator, where your expertise will help maintain the stability and security of the agency’s core systems. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot complex issues, manage system configurations, oversee upgrades, maintain user security, and ensure data quality across multiple environments. Your work will directly strengthen our technology operations and keep essential applications performing at their best.
What You’ll Do In this role,
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues involving data, configuration, and software defects.
- Manage configuration, installation, and maintenance for assigned systems and components.
- Provide SQL administrative support and create secure user access across applications.
- Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, mappings, processes, and service records.
- Plan and execute major application upgrades, releases, and patch installations.
- Coordinate data migrations between development, testing, and production environments.
- Validate daily disaster recovery processes, including log shipping.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on both purchased and in-house solutions.
- Track incidents, changes, and problems using call logging software.
- Collaborate on project teams and be available for occasional off-hours work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid customer service and collaborative team orientation.
- Excellent analytical thinking and detail awareness.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Working knowledge of ITIL principles.
- Ability to write basic queries in MS SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Office tools.
- Understanding of current IT standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate Degree in Information Technologyor 2 years of IT industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on application administration experience.
- Technical certifications and ITIL v4 preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of experience, training, and education considered.
- This role requires a two-year minimum term and successful completion of a structured training plan.
