Job summary

Miele, Inc. is seeking qualified field service professionals in the Austin, TX area to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Miele Professional Appliances at customer locations.

This role involves travel to customer sites up to 75% and requires a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, and strong plumbing and electromechanical skills. You will install, validate, service and document work, while maintaining assets and supporting technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic plumbing and electromechanical skills is recommended.
• Proficient with computers; knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Successful pre-employment screening including drug screen, background check and credit check.
• Must be a self-motivated, customer-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide installation and validation support of Professional products.
• Provide in-servicing on the proper use and care of all Professional products.
• Provide and support preventative maintenance tasks on all Professional products.
• Organize, maintain and upkeep of company assets, including vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Complete warranty, service call, validation and installation documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain parts inventory by ordering replacements and conducting inventories.
• Assist other Field Service Representatives to meet job requirements.
• Mentor other Field Service Representatives in proper repair of Professional products.
• Assist in display and trade show setup and support.
• Assist Technical Support with telephone support as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of technical documentation and resources.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.

Come join us! We are currently seeking qualified candidates in the Austin, TX area. Travel to customer location to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Miele Professional Appliances utilizing factory training, service manuals and computerized tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and provide installation and validation support of Professional products
• Provide in-servicing on the proper use and care of all Professional products

• Organize, maintain and upkeep of company provided vehicle, tools, test equipment, computers and other assigned company assets.
• Complete all warranty & service call, validation and installation documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

• Assist other Field Service Representatives in successfully performing job requirements in accordance with policy and procedures

Requirements

• Up to 75% overnight travel possible
• A valid driver's license
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Strong understanding of basic plumbing and electromechanical skills recommended
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English
• Ability to multi-task
• Successful pre-employment screening process including drug screen, background investigation and credit check
• Ability to work professionally with colleagues and be a team player
• Must be a self-motivated, customer-oriented person with excellent communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, walk and crawl occasionally
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel and dexterity to bend/twist neck and waist, frequently
• Ability to use hands repetitively and power/simple grasp constantly
• Ability for fine manipulation of hands as well as pushing, pulling and reaching above and below shoulder level constantly
• Physical ability to lift, pull and push products up to 50 pounds frequently
• Physical ability to lift, pull and push products that weigh in excess of 100+ pounds occasionally
• Ability to carry items up to 6 feet occasionally

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually plus bonus. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors that will be considered when extending an offer include but are not limited to education experience, relevant skills, and alignment with market data.
