Job summary

Aaron’s Appliance Technician position in Plainfield, IN is seeking a hands-on technician to diagnose and repair consumer appliances in the Service Center. You’ll complete service orders, calculate non-warranty estimates, and research product information to determine warranty status.

Strong troubleshooting, schematics reading, and PC skills are required; EPA certification is preferred. The role is exempt and paid hourly with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities at Aaron’s.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of most common consumer electronics and/or appliances.
• Experienced in trouble shooting to modular level.
• Ability to read schematics, research part and product information.
• Basic PC skills with the ability to navigate service software and vendor websites.
• No minimum experience required.
• 2 years of technical experience preferred.
• Type I EPA Certification preferred for appliance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate documentation of service orders
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Performs repairs in accordance with manufacturer specs and in a timely efficient manner
• Communicates with retail store associates on product usage and training
