Job summary

Aaron's is seeking an appliance service technician to diagnose and repair consumer appliances in the service center. You will complete service orders, calculate estimates for non-warranty repairs, and research parts and warranty status.

This exempt role offers salary with an hourly range of $20.00 to $28.00. Applicants should have electronics knowledge, be able to read schematics, and possess strong time-management and PC skills. Benefits include PTO and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of most common consumer electronics and/or appliances.
• Able to read schematics and research part information.
• Basic PC skills and service software navigation.
• 2 years of technical experience preferred.
• EPA Type I Certification preferred for appliance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate documentation of service orders.
• Performs repairs per manufacturer specs in a timely manner.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Communicates with store associates on product usage and training.

Overview

To perform accurate diagnoses and repair of consumer appliances in the Service Center. Properly complete all necessary service orders / paperwork associated with the repair. Calculate estimates on all non-warranty repairs. Research product, part information, and determine warranty status.

What You Need

• Knowledge of most common consumer electronics and/or appliances
• Experienced in trouble shooting to modular level
• Ability to read schematics, research part and product information
• Basic PC skills with the ability to navigate service software and vendor websites
• No minimum experience required
• 2 years of technical experience preferred
• Type I EPA Certification preferred for appliance technicians
