Del Mar College is seeking an Appliance Repair Skills Instructor to provide classroom instruction and hands-on training, preparing students for employment in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential appliances.

You will develop lesson plans, evaluate progress, and maintain a safe learning environment, including attendance and grade submissions in WebDMC. This full-time role requires post-secondary technical education and at least three years of repair experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary technical education or apprenticeship training in appliance repair or related field.
• At least three years of professional experience repairing residential appliances.
• EPA Section 608 certification required for refrigerant-containing appliances.

Responsabilités

• Teach appliance repair theory and hands-on training for residential appliances.
• Develop and align lesson plans with approved outcomes.
• Evaluate student progress with practical exercises and demonstrations.
• Maintain a safe classroom and shop environment and manage attendance/grades.
