Job summary

Best Buy in Carson City, NV is seeking an Appliance Delivery Helper (Deliver Experience Cadet) to assist with the delivery, installation, repair and haul-away of appliances and consumer electronics.

You will determine the best install methods, protect areas, and work with a team on installations, as well as handle paperwork and provide product placement advice. This role offers benefits and opportunities to grow with Best Buy, including competitive pay and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards.
• Ability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team with assistive tools.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, performing basic installation and repair of home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine best way to move major appliances into homes and finalize placement while protecting areas and moving fixtures.
• Remove and re-install doors and panels as needed.
• Provide a seamless client experience with advice on product placement and services.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance with team members; process paperwork and payment; complete in-store repairs.
