Job summary

Best Buy is seeking an Appliance Delivery Helper in Columbia, SC. You’ll assist with delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances, acting as a Deliver Experience Cadet. The role involves measuring spaces, moving fixtures, and guiding customers on product placement and services.

An emphasis on safety and teamwork is required, with opportunities to contribute to inventory, paperwork, and on-site repairs. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license and driving record meeting safety standards.
• Able to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team with safety tools.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, installing and repairing home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine best way to move major appliances into homes, measuring and protecting routes.
• Remove and re-install doors and panels as needed.
• Provide advice on product placement, services and other content for a seamless client experience.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance with team members.
• Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
