Job summary

American Trim is seeking an Appliance Assembly & Inspection Associate to support our appliance manufacturing operations. This entry-level role involves hands-on assembly, visual quality inspection and packaging of control panel components.

On-the-job training is provided; prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. The position offers 1st shift with overtime as needed and a base pay of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Previous manufacturing, light assembly, inspection, packaging or related production experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspection and identify cosmetic defects or surface damage.
  • Ability to carefully handle finished products without causing damage.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions, quality standards and packaging requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light assembly of appliance control panel components, including installation of brackets, light fixtures and other applicable components.
  • Carefully handle finished parts throughout the assembly, inspection and packaging process to prevent scratches, dents or other surface damage.
  • Visually inspect products for cosmetic and manufacturing defects and verify parts meet established quality requirements.
  • Communicate and take appropriate action when defects or quality concerns are identified.
  • Unpack, stage and organize components and materials needed for production.
  • Pack completed products according to established packaging specifications and customer requirements.
  • Operate applicable assembly equipment and perform basic setup according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete assigned production work while maintaining established quality and productivity requirements.
  • Communicate production, quality or equipment concerns to supervision, Quality and other appropriate team members.
  • Follow established safety, quality, environmental and operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Appliance Assembly & Inspection Associate

American Trim is seeking Appliance Assembly & Inspection Associates to support our appliance manufacturing operations.

This is a light manufacturing position involving hands‑on assembly, visual quality inspection and packaging of appliance control panel components. You'll work with finished surfaces that require careful handling, complete final assembly steps and inspect products before they're packaged for our customers.

On-the-job training is provided, so previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule & Pay

1st Shift: 5:55 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday

All shifts include overtime as needed. Scheduled hours may flex based on operational needs.

Base Pay

$16.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Appliance Assembly & Inspection Associate performs light assembly, inspection and packaging activities to prepare appliance control panel components for shipment to our customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

The work environment and physical demands described below are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to:

  • Frequently handle, assemble, inspect and pack lightweight parts and materials, typically weighing approximately 3 to 6 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a non-repetitive basis.
  • Stand, walk and move throughout the assigned production area for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, turn and perform repetitive hand, arm and lifting movements associated with assembly and packaging activities.
  • Perform work requiring manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and close visual attention.
  • Visually inspect finished surfaces for scratches, dents and other cosmetic or manufacturing defects.
  • Use hand tools and work with manufactured parts that may have sharp edges.
  • Work around assembly equipment and other industrial machinery.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, varying temperatures and other conditions associated with production operations.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye, hearing, foot and other protective equipment as required.
  • Work overtime and adjusted hours as required by operational needs.
