Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Appian Software Developer/Integrator to design, develop, deploy, and operate a DoD-wide TCPED OSINT platform. You will integrate off-the-shelf and new development efforts, leveraging cloud, AI/ML, and cross-domain transfer systems to enhance big data analytics tools and microservices in a primarily on-site role in Bethesda, MD, with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience with Appian.
• Experience with containerization.
• Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (GitLab or Jenkins).
• Experience with Agile practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deploy release candidates to production with a team of system integration engineers.
• Participate in test, staging, and production deployments.
• Integrate Appian with Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and DevOpsSec tools.
• Maintain big data pipeline services (Kafka, Elasticsearch, in-house Python/Java microservices).
• Monitor automated integration tests to identify failures.
• Manage project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Foster collaboration to deliver quality service to the customer.
