Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Appian Software Integrator / Low Code Developer to support mission-focused software integration and development efforts in Bethesda, MD. You will collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, architects and operations teams to craft backend and frontend solutions leveraging cloud computing, AI/ML and cross-domain transfer systems.

The role supports Defense and Intelligence Community members by advancing big data analytics tools and micro-service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master's with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Appian.
• Experience with containerization.
• Experience with Agile practices.
• Experience engineering and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy release candidates to production environments with a team of system integration engineers.
• Participate in test, staging and production deployments.
• Integrate Appian with Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Rancher, Helm and other DevSecOps tools.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, including CDS to air-gapped networks.
• Implement automated system integration testing (e.g., Cucumber) to identify failed modules.
• Monitor automated tests to identify failures and issues.
• Manage project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.

Position Summary

The role involves collaboration with systems engineers, software engineers, architects, and operations teams to develop backend and frontend software solutions leveraging cloud computing, AI, ML, and cross-domain transfer systems. The position supports Defense and Intelligence Community members by advancing big data analytics tools and micro-service development.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with a team of system integration engineers to successfully deploy release candidates to production environment.
• Participate in test, staging and production deployment.
• Integrate container-based Appian using Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Rancher, Helm and other DevSecOps integration tools.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, including navigating Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to securely deliver updates to air-gapped networks.
• Implement and monitor automated system integration testing (e.g., using Cucumber) to identify failed modules and components.
• Monitor automated system integration tests to identify failed modules and components.
• Manage individual project priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Foster an environment of collaboration with the different team members in the goal of providing quality service and product to our customer.

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with Appian.
• Experience with containerization.

• Development and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with systems at scale.
• Kafka or other message passing systems.
• Experience on a production/enterprise system.
• Cloud infrastructure experience.
• DoD 8570/8140 Compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher).
• Appian certification.
• Experience with any of the following technologies: Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/Grafana; Appian integration with PostgreSQL or other DB; SALT for deployment automation; GraphQL; Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash, specifically admin experience; Helm and Helmfile.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of experience.
• Masters with 2-6 years of experience.

Required Certifications

• DoD 8570/8140 Compliance (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or higher).

Required Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI
