Job summary

Miami Technology Solutions seeks an Appian QA Tester with test automation experience to perform functional, regression, integration, and automated testing of Appian applications, while supporting data migration and integration activities. You will collaborate with Appian developers, database engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure migrated and integrated data is complete and usable.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of professional experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or test engineering.
• Hands-on experience testing Appian applications or comparable low-code platforms.
• Experience executing functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience testing data migrations or data-intensive applications.
• Ability to interpret mappings, transformation rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, or similar defect/test-management tools.
• Familiarity with CI pipelines and Git/GitHub workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end tests for Appian applications.
• Validate Appian interfaces, records, process models, business rules, reports, integrations, plugins, and custom components.
• Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into detailed test cases and traceable evidence.
• Create and manage test data across multiple environments.
• Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution and retesting.
• Support formal testing, user acceptance testing, and release-readiness decisions.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated regression and integration test suites.
• Analyze failed automated tests and distinguish defects from test-script, data, or environment issues.
• Stabilize unreliable tests and improve automation maintenance.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent).
• Maintain automation code via Git/GitHub workflows.
• Support containerized test execution with Docker.
• Link automated results with Jira, Xray, or similar tools.
