Job summary

Sabel Systems is seeking an Experienced Appian Developer to design enterprise‑grade Appian solutions, gather requirements from DoD stakeholders, and implement API integrations with legacy and cloud systems. You will design ETL processes, optimize SQL data models, and ensure secure access in compliance with FISMA and Section 508.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment using Jira, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software development with 3+ years Appian platform development
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering/Math or related field
• Strong SQL and database design experience (Oracle/SQL Server)
• Experience designing API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• ETL and data migration best practices
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Jira

Responsibilities

• Design and architect Appian solutions addressing complex business automation
• Gather and translate DoD stakeholder requirements into technical specs
• Develop API integrations to connect Appian with legacy systems and cloud platforms
• Design ETL processes and manage data migrations with data integrity
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models using Oracle/SQL Server
• Implement secure authentication and adhere to security standards; perform code reviews
