The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, admission to the New York bar (NJ bar a plus), 1–3 years of defense litigation experience, and strong writing and research skills. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York; NJ bar admission a plus.
• 1–3 years of defense litigation experience.
• Civil litigation background with appellate experience preferred.
• Exceptional legal writing skills.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full spectrum of appellate cases from start to finish.
• Draft appellate motions and applications, including motions to dismiss and for extension requests.
• Negotiate stipulations related to briefing schedules and appellate records.
• Conduct ad hoc legal research for trial teams.
• Provide motion assistance to trial teams, including MILs and SJ motions.
