Qualifications

Kerley, Walsh, Matera & Cinquemani, P.C. a collegial law firm with offices in Long Island, New York City, and New Jersey, seeks an appellate attorney admitted in New York to join its litigation defense team (of counsel) at our Seaford, New York location (and/or via remote location). The attorney will be working alongside seasoned attorneys that specialize in varied practice areas, including medical malpractice, premises liability, and New York Labor Law.

• Appellate advocacy: assess appealability and prepare persuasive briefs.
• Conduct complex legal research and draft memoranda.
• Provide research and support on intricate cases.
• Draft pre-trial, post-trial, and dispositive motions.
• Conduct oral argument for appeals and motions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in New York.
• Proven experience in litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense (but not required).
