Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain – Apparel to lead the Apparel department in creating an engaging shopping experience and building athlete confidence in selections. You will coach teammates, drive sales, and uphold our standards for service and presentation.

The role involves planning with senior leadership, developing schedules, and ensuring store operations run smoothly while delivering outstanding athlete experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Apparel department by delivering an engaging shopping experience rooted in product knowledge and athlete connection.
• Coach teammates, drive sales, and ensure athletes feel confident in their selections.
• Develop store plans with leadership to support business priorities and staffing needs.
• Oversee opening/closing, scheduling, and compliance with policies to ensure smooth store operations.
