Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products and store services.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Adhere to local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Model excellent customer service and maintain a clean, orderly department.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising and keep displays stocked according to standards.
• Be aware of product arrival dates and ensure deadlines are met.
• Notify management of safety risks, accidents, or illegal activity.
