Job summary

Kroger is seeking team members to create outstanding customer experiences in Cold Spring, KY. You will assist the department manager to meet sales goals, maintain safety and cleanliness, and ensure customers feel welcome and valued.

Responsibilities include answering questions, stocking, labeling, maintaining displays, and following all health, safety, and loss prevention rules. Flexible with scheduling and committed to friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Ability to meet the minimum physical demands
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, subtraction
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about department and store products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of department products and respond with suggestions
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours
• Adhere to local, state and federal health and civil codes
• Model excellent customer service and maintain a clean, orderly department
• Demonstrate creative merchandising and keep displays stocked
• Be aware of product arrival dates
• Meet production deadlines
• Assist with announcements and programs to drive sales
• Complete paperwork per company policy
• Ensure merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, safety and loss prevention rules are followed
• Promote sales through intercom announcements
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Perform preventive maintenance and report repairs
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks
• Report fraud or illegal activity
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
