Job summary

Staffmark Group in Ottawa, KS is hiring an Apparel Material Handler for peak season. Day shift 5:00 AM-3:00 PM at $19.00/hr; Night shift 5:00 PM-3:00 AM at $20.00/hr. Earn up to $500 in attendance bonuses with daily raffles and recognition prizes.

Responsibilities include moving, organizing, loading/unloading materials, identifying products and shipping paperwork, and operating pallet jacks or RF scanners. Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse or material handling experience is beneficial.

PEAK SEASON = BIGGER EARNING POTENTIAL!

Peak Season schedule and pay rates apply November 20-December 4, 2026

Day shift: 5:00 AM-3:00 PM | $19.00/hr
Night shift: 5:00 PM-3:00 AM | $20.00/hr

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Apparel Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
