Job summary

Reflex Performance Resources, Inc. in Manhattan is looking for an Apparel Fabric Developer to oversee the development and execution of raw materials, ensuring quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams including production and design, and manage the fabric development process with vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in apparel manufacturing and a strong understanding of the raw material process. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and some experience with Microsoft Office is required. Benefits include health insurance and a 401K.

Apparel Fabric Developer (Manhattan, NY) – On site Full-time

The Fabric Developer will be responsible for supporting the development and bulk execution of Raw Materials to meet cost, quality and aesthetic for Reflex company with a focus on developing efficient, scalable processes to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product developer, Production associate, Design, Merchandising and Vendor both near and offshore where applicable.
• Partner closely with cross functional partners to trouble shoot issues and escape when and where appropriate.
• Manage fabric development milestones with vendors and internal partners.
• Track sample yardage and approval status while maintaining necessary timelines for proto, SMS and bulk.
• Responsible for all relevant testing, problem solving and finding alternatives when needed.
• Responsible for communicating development and bulk fabric approvals to vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in apparel manufacturing
• Intermediate/advanced technical trim knowledge
• Microsoft office
• Proficient in raw material sourcing and production lifecycle process
• Understanding of trim vendor and COO competencies
• Advanced Raw Material development process and understanding
• Cost, Speed and CR optimization
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000
