Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Retail/Bakery experience.
• Second language (verbal, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Make decisions related to hiring, discipline, and termination or provide input on these.
• Develop adequate scheduling to balance customer volume with associate needs.
• Adhere to health and civil codes.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions and make suggestions.
• Understand store layout and locate products.
• Inform associates about promotions affecting the department.
• Implement promotional plans with current ads.
• Monitor and manage inventory conditions; note discrepancies.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and computer-assisted ordering.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising.
• Ensure products are conditioned per policy and merchandising standards.
• Authorize manager discretion markdowns.
• Understand and perform cashier functions.
• Ensure compliance with merchandising, customer service, labor, safety and loss prevention rules.
• Report safety risks or issues including theft or fraud.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
