Job summary

Strategic Factory in Owings Mills, MD is seeking an Apparel Decoration Operator to run and maintain Direct-to-Film heat press equipment, set up materials, and ensure output meets quality standards.

You will work closely with design and production teams, handle routine maintenance, keep accurate records, and adapt to a fast-paced environment in a state-of-the-art facility offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating and machines.
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics and decoration methods.
• Basic computer skills for inputting data.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to write effective correspondence to customers and coworkers.
• Vision abilities required: see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, adjust focus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve minor technical issues.

Position Summary

While working as an Apparel Decoration Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Direct-to-Film heat press equipment to create high-quality branded products. This role involves setting up the machine, preparing materials, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the finished product meets quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines according to specifications, load and unload materials, and adjust settings as needed.
• Monitor the production process to ensure high-quality output, inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and defects, and make necessary adjustments to correct any issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues, and report major machine problems to the supervisor for repair.
• Work closely with the design team to ensure the correct implementation of designs and collaborate with other production team members to meet production deadlines.

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating and machines
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics and decoration methods

Computer Skills
