Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Basic math skills: counting, addition, subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products in the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and observe shift hours.
• Adhere to local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Model excellent customer service with friendliness and a clean, orderly department.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising and keep displays stocked and ready.
• Be aware of arrival dates and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Complete paperwork per company policy and follow merchandising, cash control, loss prevention, safety rules.
