Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer service-oriented associate for the Thornton, CO area. You will assist customers, answer questions about products, stock department merchandise, and help drive sales while ensuring a safe, clean department environment.

Minimum 18 years old with basic math skills; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus and may be advantageous for servicing a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, subtraction.
• Second language skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products and services.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with informed product suggestions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Promote sales through announcements and maintain safety protocols.
