Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Professional Services Consultant for Application Security and Performance in Austin, TX. You will work post-sales to deliver technical solutions across DDoS, WAF, TLS, DNS, and related Cloudflare products. Travel up to 30% and English is required, with Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

The role emphasizes building design artifacts, configuration guidance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure customers derive maximum value from Cloudflare investments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing role such as Engineer, Consultant, or Solutions Architect.
• OSI layers and protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP.
• Deep understanding of Internet security tech: DDoS, WAF, Certificates, DNS, CDN, Analytics and Logs.
• Scripting skills with Python/JavaScript/Bash or similar.
• Security aspects of internet properties: Firewalls, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, TLS.
• Performance aspects: Speed, Latency, Caching, HTTP/2, TLSv1.3.
• Terraform or IaC experience for infrastructure deployment.
• Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and handle ambiguity.
• Work in English; Spanish/Portuguese fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver timely services for customers to maximize value from Cloudflare products.
• Gather requirements and produce design artifacts, migration plans, and deployment steps.
• Implement changes in customer environments following change control processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with Support, Engineering, and other teams on escalations.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and create templates, automation scripts, and workflows.
